An office space that inspires, is an office space we all desire. Creating an environment that has everything at reach, adequate lighting, inspiration boards, a comfortable chair and a computer is a must. To foster creativity we need to consider design and layout, have elements that brighten the space like coordinating book files and pen holders. Personalising your desk with objects that represent you and your life and placing words of wisdom and photos of friends and family ensure a warm and friendly environment. My personal workspace features black and white a close representation of my personal style. I like to have 2 computer...

Eating Out In Sydney: Woolwich Pier Hotel Over the weekend I had a desire for a steak! We don’t eat much red meat in our house with a vegetarian who eats chicken so when my young Miss was at a party we ventured to our local pub Woolwich Pier Hotel. As we waited for our dinner with a few drinks this time sitting in the bar stool along a long share bench, I got the opportunity to take in the bar.  The subway tiling that had been used stood out to me, maybe that's because I’m trying to make up my mind...

The Block Glasshouse has been over for only 1 week, I'm having withdrawals!   As an interior designer & experienced renovator The Block series would have to one of my favourite shows. There is nothing better than being deep in renovation with "everything" happening all around you with the stress being so high. I love to watch knowing it's not me renovating and that I can sleep in my own bed and cook in my own kitchen is a relief, as we watch the struggles and achievements nightly of the contestants. but I do wish I was renovating again...

Black bath tubs - There is something about a black bath that just makes me stop!   Its different, its elegant and its special. There is always the expectation that bath tubs will be white. Remember when we use to think Avocado and Pink were a great colour for fittings, but Black stand on its own. Its classic, it has style, it says luxury. Could you do a black bath tub? Maybe I could, I think it would have to look like stone like the one below used in the rooms at the Saffire Freycinet Lodge in Tasmania. Check out the great collection in Remodelista's post...

Black white and grey in a bathroom is always classic and I keep coming back to it. Bathrooms are expensive to change and bathroom renovations should last for 15 to 20 years. Colours come and go so it makes sense to select pieces that will last. Great bathroom design is made up of - Well thought out spaces Storage to hide away unnecessary items Functional bathroom vanities that cater for the number of people in the house Showers that keep the water in ( single pieces of glass are terrible for a family you need a door) Ventilation that works Lighting that falls...

White Kitchen Designs - Caesarstone Calacatta Nuvo White kitchen designs never go out of fashion, they are classic and always look clean. When renovating a kitchen the costs can be high so creating a space that will last seems like a good idea. Finding kitchen designs that will grow with our changing styles and trends lead us back to the white kitchen. Kitchen designs for small spaces can look larger in white and make the space look more open. As appliances change their colours from stainless steel to black, to bold colours to soft pastels the white kitchen is always a match. Caesarstone's interpretation...

Lighting ideas It never ceases to amaze me seeing the new ideas available in lighting. Many times a well put together room can shine with the introduction of spectacular lighting. A single pendant that hangs over a table, a collection of lights that add interest to an otherwise boring space come to life with the addition of glass, light and atmosphere. For a long time I have been thinking of the perfect comfy chair to read my book in, but it really needs a functional light hanging over the top to complete the picture. It creates a collection of furniture...

With amazing bathroom ideas a luxury bathroom has been designed by Minosa Design the award-winning Australian designers Simona Castagna and Darren Genner. They have created clean and simple lines in a bathroom that is located in an apartment at Walsh Bay Pier 2 sitting just under the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge in Sydney, Australia. The existing bathroom had no windows so artificial light was used to illuminate the space and the client had a dislike for grout so seamless pieces of Corian were applied to the walls. The bathroom features a free-standing bath, double basins and separate shower.  Rimadesio glass sliding...
